3X: Building Resilient Youth through Mindfulness
Participants will gain an understanding of Mindfulness, its benefits to students and themselves, and how it can easily be implemented in any class, at all age levels. They will then participate in a guided Mindfulness Meditation practice.
Participants are invited to bring a small cushion if desired.

Sharell Hamilton
Sharell is an Inclusive Curriculum Teacher Assistant and have been working at Mercy College for 11 years. Four years ago she undertook an 8 week Mindfulness course and is passionate about Mindfulness and its link to stress reduction and emotional regulation ever since. Sharell has completed two online courses through Mindful Schools both relating to working with youth. She sincerely believes there is a real need for a Mindfulness program in all schools if we are to educate students on how their brain works, how to build resilience and find some peace.
